SPORTS BF Swim teams open season with wins The USC men's and women's swim teams opened their season victoriously in the Gamecock Relays at the Carolina Natatorium Friday. The men's team dominated the swimming action as they overwhelmed the College of Charleston and the University of North Carolina-Wilmington by the same total of 54-27. The Gamecocks, 2-0, were led by All-American candidate and junior Mart Smith inH CAnirvr tJirlr Havekost. The two victories were the first for first-year head coach Keith Switzer. The Lady Gamecocks defeated Charleston and North CarolinaWilmington by a score of 54-27, but fell to the University of Tennessee by a margin of 45-36. Head coach Kelly Parker is 2-1 in her first season at USC.
