USC's popular Carolina Alive
singers and dancers will present a
varied program of pop, patriotic
and Broadway tunes during its
spring concert at 8 p.m. Friday at

The choreographed show offers
a diverse mix of music ranging
from Phantom of the Opera to a
country-style medley entitled
"Raise a Ruckus," which features a
rousing clogging routine.
Carolina Alive was founded 17
years ago by Richard Conant, a
professor in USC's School of
Music and the group's current
director.
The 40 member group is comprised
mainly of non-music majors
and has performed for countless
universities, political and business
functions as well as for dignitaries
such as former Presidents Ronald
Reagan, Jimmy Carter and Richard
Nixon. i
