The computer was good to me," he said. 1 Kim is one of USC's 1,200 international students who chose USC out of all the universities in the U.S. for their graduate or undergraduate work. v Coming to USC from New Jersey, we can begin to understand. But how about coming from Mainland China? Dr. Rajarathman S. Aluri says, "Most are graduate students, and USC has good programs for students looking for graduate fellowships. USC also has a good admissions program for international students," he said. "And of course many are attracted by USC's academic programs, like the top-ranked International Business School." And some do look at the weather. "I can remember thinking, 'I don't like it too cold,"' said Aluri, an international student in 1976.
