'Trading places' Student, H< By DAVID EATON Staff writer j Those who cajled the president's office and ask- 1 ed for USC President James Holderman on Mon- i day may have thought that the receptionist was < crazy when she said that the university's president was Riddle, not Holderman. It wasn't the movie Trading Places, but English junior Vicki Riddle was at the helm of USC for one shining day. For $160, Riddle purchased President Holderman's schedule for a day at the Baptist Student Union's auction. As part of the agreement, Holderman had to follow Riddle's schedule the same day. "I've been having a great time," Holderman said as he worked the ASKUS information desk in Russell House, dressed in very casual clothes and tennis shoes. He did seem a little confused, however, as the phone rang with repeated phone calls from his staff who were trying to fluster the university's most powerful figure.
