Finance c examines By KELLY S. MARSHALL Senate reporter The question of how $1,600 in a Student Government account should be allocated is under investigation by the Student Senate Finance Committee. The Z001 account was formed from profits from The Freshman Review, a preview yearbook of the freshman class. The account was controlled by the S.G. executive branch. Allocation of funds for unbudgeted expenses did not involve Senate approval. A bill passed at Wednesday's Senate meeting approved cosponsorship of The Garnet and Black and The Freshman Review and diverted future profits from The Freshman Review to the Finance Committee. The problems arose because there is no allowance for the allocation of funds already in the ZOO) account, Finance Committee Chairman Steve McElveen said. "There's still money in the account we can't let sit there," McElveen said. "The new bill just didn't make an allowment for that money."
