The story's protagonist escorts his 86-year-old mother to "a golden wedding reception of a couple she hardly knew the % names of." Taylor was introduced Thursday night by Ashley Brown of the IJSC Mnglish department. the same man who introduced him that ?ight in 1952. Noting that this \sas his fifth introduction of Taylor in 33 years. Brown said, "I'm grateful to him for giving a certain continuity to my life." " * nut that's too exnausting. i went hack and roughed them up." After the reading, Taylor said he spends "painful hours and hours" rewriting his stories, but he doesn't necessarily recommend that to everyone. "It depends on the temperament of the person."
