The 23 Viennese boys and conductor Peter Marschik engaged the audience in a two-hour concert of classical, secular and folk music, and a one-act operetta, ending the performance with a special rendition of "Dixie." Classical music Folksongs and waltzes were also performed by the Vienna Boys Choir. The night ended with a resounding command performance and encore with the song "Dixie." The piece, sung by Viennese boys with thick accents, was still a hit and received a standing ovation. The onlv oroblem with the nro gram was the sound. The accents of the boys, combined with the lack of sound, made speech by the choir difficult to hear. Unfortunately, this was not remedied in the program and the audience missed a bit of the dialogue in the performance. However, in the long run, this was an excellent and well-puttogether program. The USC Cultural Series Committee and patrons should be proud of themselves. It was a masterful performance worthy of well-sung praise.
