He said an excessive number of penalties and a lack of motivation among players pointed to a need for new assistant coaches. MARCUM HAD to take action because Bell "couldn't do the things to get his house in order," Richardson said. "This season under coach Bell was a nightmare." Ratchford said witnesses will include Frank Broyles, who coached at the University of Arkansas for 37 years before becoming the school athletic director.
