Nine students reported a total of 20 tires slashed on cars parked on the lot between 11 a.m. Thursday and 7:25 p.m. Friday, USC police reports show. USC police chief Kenneth Pereira could not say whether the slashings were related, and he did not know what was used to cut the tires. The crimes are currently under investiga tion, Pereira said. Police received the first vandalism reporl at 11 a.m. Thursday by a student whc discovered one tire split on his car. Three more complaints were recorded that day. On Friday, a student told campus police ai 1:40 p.m. that someone had slit two tires or his car; 10 minutes later, another studem reported the four tires on his car had beer slashed in the same lot.
