3 students to re( in contest for spi By Pamela Armstrong Three students were chosen from 275 ap- 1 plicants to represent USC in a contest that will lead one of them to a spot in the 1985 1 "Southern Exposure: College Men of the : South" calendar. Vernon Hall, Warren Lipka and Robert Sullenberger were interviewed by David Purdy, president of Encore Productions Inc., the company that produces the calendar. Purdy selected 41 applicants to appear before a panel of female judges, made up of USC students. Of the three finalists, only Hall, a finance junior from Columbia, had modeling experience. "I've done several fashion shows, three commericals and some still shots," he said. Sullenberger, a marketing sophomore from Valdosta, Ga., entered the contest under pressure. "Two friends brought me up here," he said. "1 had no idea what was going on." Lipka, a hotel, restaurant and tourism i sophomore from St. Louis, Mo., said he decided to enter on his own and didn't tell his friends about his decision. i OU (ZZ?
