Holderman was quoted in the article as telling the mother of a basketball player that "Pam Parsons has admitted to (Assistant Athletic Director) Ron Dickerson that she is a lesbian and was carrying on with one of the players." You see, Altobelli is a company man, too. I Weaver, Altobelli said, "really set the tone of the club. 1 When I came in here it wasn't the type of job where I had to take over and turn the club around. "I just wanted to keep it pointed in the same direction, > and fortunately I did." ALTOBELLI CONTINUED Weaver's platoon system, using six outfielders and making the quick, complicated changes without a hitch, and guided the Orioles to a comeback matched by only three other series winners ? sweeping four games after losing the first. He had used a Series-record four consecutive pinchhitters as well as a pinch-runner in Saturday's fourth game. "I was in awe of the man," said Dempsey of his manager. "Joe is intelligent enough to know that he didn't have to yen at us or Rick us," uempsey said.
