Rnrl/ hip+n rw rtn i iuuiv iiioiui y pit draws small bal By Nancy Young The small turnout for "Rockology" Wednesday night in Russell House ballroom made the show seem like a class lecture. Only 35 people attended Lee Frank's multimedia presentation of the history of rock 'n' roll. But then, rock 'n' roll itself grew from such small crowds. Frank told the story of Brian Epstein, a record salesman from Liverpool, England, who got a record contract for the group he managed. Epstein won the contract by sending posters to record producers showing the group, the Silver Beatles, getting mobbed by eager fans. THE GROUP changed its name to the Beatles, and the rest is history ? but those "mobs" the posters showed were actually 12 people hired by Epstein to pose as delirious fans.
