Vernon Jordan From Staff Reports Vernon Jordan, former president of the National Urban League, will be the guest speaker March 8 at the annual banauet of the Rl?rk American Law Students Association at USC. The Atlanta, Ga., native earned his law degree from Howard University Law School and is a law firm partner. Jordan has long been a national spokesman for black Americans, both in his newspaper column and on major national TV broadcasts like "Meet the Press," "Issues and Answers" and "Face the Nation." Jordan has held several federal appointments and has received honorary degrees from a number of American colleges and univprsitips Jordan's visit is part of the annual Strom Thurmond Visiting Lecturers Series, and, along with his address, Jordan will conduct several seminars with USC law students and faculty.
