High-tech majors From Staff Reports Enginering and computer science majors may have a harder time finding a job after graduaton this year, a new survey of engineering firms' hiring plans by Peter son's Quides revealed. The survey found that three-fourths of the 765 high-tech employers who responded planned either to keep hiring at 1982 levels or to hire fewer newly graduated engineering and computer science majors. Employers, according to the survey, also found students are more willing to relocate uian in pasi years. tl "In previous years, the engineer didn't K have to work hard to get a job," sr' 1 Sandra Grundfest, who edited the guide to nigh-tech C employment.
