Systems Vice President for Facilities Planning David Rinker said, "We're expecting 10 De nmsnea wnn the project from mid to late August. It will be finished in time for the students' return. There is no question in my mind about that." The cafeteria renovation project is a major part of an overhaul of several Russell House areas. All renovations will cost about $1.3 million. Included in the project is an overhaul of the air conditioning and neating systems, lne money spent on cafeteria renovations will be about $1 million. All old equipment in the cafeteria will be removed, along with other unneeded fixtures. New equipment will be installed, and "surface renovations" such as wallpaper, carpet and partitions also will be made. "We are setting up double serving area," Rinker said. "For the people that just want salads, fruits ( and prepared sandwiches, we will have the serving lines arranged so that they don't have to wait as long as they did in the past." Rinker said, "In the center point of the serving area we ~ will be constructing a fast food grill for those people who want hamburgers and the such."
