Fair Comes To Columbia The South Carolina State Fair will run for 10 days beginning October 16 at the fairgrounds in Columbia. This year will mark the first appearance of the famous Budweiser Clydesdales, the majestic eight-horse team which weigh over eight tons. They have toured the country for neany au years ana log approximately 4u,uuu mnes ana more than 400 public appearances annually. They appear in Miami's Orange Bowl Parade on New Year's Eve and the next day they're in the Tournament of Hoses procession in Pasadena, California. Another free attraction will be the all-new Olympic International Circus in the grandstand. There will be two performances nightly which will feature aerial acts including motorcycle-trained dalmatians, clowns and several comedy routines. Deggeller's Spectacular Magic Midway will return, bringing with them over 50 rides and attractions. And, there will be a complete kiddie ride area, aljng with a petting zoo for the children. The exhibits are a favorite among fairgoers, and this year they promise to be even bigger and better than ever before.
