Edwards said, "Well ma'am if I was in that nnsitinn I wouldn't want to get wet either," according to the USC student. She said the police didn't search for the girlfriend s purse containing the weapon but it was found by the three people who had called the police. The purse contained a ,44-caliberpistol. the girlfriend's driver's license and other personal items. Edwards told the woman the rapids is a place people go to blow off steam. She said she got the impression the police were not taking the incident seriously.
