That's just what the USC chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers did this past Saturday at the National ASCE Concrete Canoe competition in Norfolk, Va. The USC squad entered i ?1 1 ii? iwu ucuiuea anu piaueu 111 uie top three in each of six races while also winning first prize overall for design out of a field of 14 schools. THE CAROLINA engineers took first and second in the women's undergraduate race, the student and faculty race, and the relay and sprint. They also placed second in the men's undergraduate race and the faculty sprint, and took second and third in the undergraduate endurance race.
