Ralph from page 8 "AND DISNEY'S animation motion is supberb," Bakshi said. "The only problem with it is that adults never went to see it. It's a shame Disney didn't experiment more. What I'd like to see is Disney do adult cartoons, like we're doing now. My only resentment toward Disney is that because of that studio's repetition, no one felt that animation was good for anything else but children's films. As a result, we don't have an animation industry. Bakshi's next project, he said, will be a throwback to the kind of animation he used in "Fritz the Cat" and "Heavy Traffic." The film, which Bakshi will begin work on late this summer, is to be called "American Comix" and Bakshi promised that he will pull no punches in it. "I've got to do something to enrage my critics," he said. "I love to get those people angry. I like nothing better in life than to read that stuff. It turns me on to see people who think they can take 2 1/2 years of work from some of the greatest artists in the country and, in one column, try to dismiss it without a sincle decent thine to say." The director j acknowledged, however, that the great Ralph Bakshi film has yet to be made. "No way," he said. "Not even close. I've got about 10 more 'years to go yet."
