'P.M. mc plans to sorority To The Editor: 1 This past Wednesday night ] the Mr. Carolina Pageant ] was presented to the Carolina community by Tri i Delta and Kappa Delta < sororities. The pageant was i an excellent example of what happens when a dedicated, industrious group of young women put one hundred percent effort into a project. The pageant was of particular interest to me because the sororities contributed all this time and effort to benefit our chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Mr. Carolina Pageant was professionally carried out in everyway. 1 must commend each member of the sororities for this generous gesture and, in addition to the monies collected, for the quality publicity they will bring to Multiple Sclerosis and the 9s mecock Founde( Newsroom: 777-7181 Business Office: 777 3888 Stephen Riddell Jill Hancock Copy Desk Chief Teresa Weaver News Editor Don Weatherbee ..... I love to read the Gamecock, and I am sure that there are many other Carolina students that agree with me. Many times, however, the students Ixihind the scenes receive no credit. It must take a lot of extra time and effort to find, write, and publish a news article, especially when many of the reporters and siait workers have other college work that has to be done. The Gamecock seems to have a very dedicated staff, and the people behind Ihe scenes deserve some praise for their hard work. The Gamecock is a well*ounded, informative college lewspaper ? it is "South Carolina's Best College Newspaper." I love it and ;njoy reading it three times ?ach week.
