Newac fair to s By Donald B. Weatherbee Staff Writer The academic suspension policy approved last spring by the faculty senate will be fairer than the previous policy, according to faculty members who worked on the policy change. Engineering Professor Ted Simpson, a member of the Scholastic Standards and Petitions Committee, said the policy was borrowed from Auburn. He said USC analyzed other policies before accepting the Auburn system. "It's a very elementary procedure, the simplest really. The only thing I can't figure out is why more people don't use it," Simpson said.
