The AllNiter featured blues, New Jersey rock n' roll, beach music and bluegrass. Tuesday night Golden Spur patrons heard another brand of music, southern or vocal rock, provided by Overland Express from Chattanooga, Tenn. The promotion package for Overland Express had quotes from satisfied clients, some describing the band as "very professional," "arrived early," "very cooperative," etc. Some of the quotes somehow seemed analagous to the hesitant description of a blind date by a friend ? "great personality," "knows how to fix transmissions," etc. In other words, a sugar-coating for something less than desirable. This proved to be far from the truth in the case of Overland Express.
