Done to commemorate y< the International Year of the Child, the work w features a series of childrens' faces that a< blend fluidly from one to the next. The H division of space works well for Waldrop here, and the effect is quite stunning when oi passing the mural in southbound traffic. a It's hard to believe that the same person \* who unified soace so well on the ballnark a _ - m- ? 1 c? wall could make such a mess on the second b floor of Sloan College. Here, in Waldrop's li first mis-adventure of the summer, he at- b tempts to capture 200 years of art history in the most garish color combinations h imaginable. Yet hot pink beside swimming tl pool blue is not the only thing wrong with the a Sloan mural. Its colors are reen, clay red, and cool white stone. The rightest color in Five Points is the yellow nes on the roads, which is no match for the urning brilliance in Waldrop's yellow sun. Out of this burning yellow dot, Waldrop as placed a series of silhouetted profiles hat move progressively outwards, each ueiupuug iu iieKuie ur uesiruy uie receeding color.
