hours, the jam-packed
audience was given the
chance to enter the life of a
true performer: a life rich
with memories of broken
dreams, lost love and
glimmering hope.
Browne has certainly
experienced his share of ups
and downs since his first
album. Saturate Before
Using, in 1970. Since then, his
distinct California sound has
gained him commercial
appeal, which will undoubtedly
peak with his
newest release. Hold Out.
At 8:30 p.m.. Browne and
the band had 'held out' long
enough and eased on me
stage to the tranquilizing
throbs of "The Fuse."
Although the song was a bit
drawn out, it allowed the
band to fully unwind.

new verses were added to
"Cocaine," just to make
sure that the song's 'subtle'
advice would be well taken.
