Marshall Chapn anoear in Ballrr M M By Paul Hicks Qomccock Staff Writer Rock and roll, in the form of The Marshall Chapman Group and The AUstars, will be present tonight in the Russell House Ballroom at 10 p.m. for the AllNiter. Neither group is new to USC; Marshall sold out the ballroom in January of last year, and The Allstars packed the Golden Spur in February and March. Chapman will be appearing with her new band, formerly called the Confidential. The South Carolina native released her third album, "Marshall, on Epic Records September 4. Her wild and energetic style of rock and roll has been compared to Mick Jagger and Bruce Springsteen, but her music has a style of its own. She is constantly on the move, and her loud rock and roll moves from acid to country rock. The group now consists of Lucille Shoettle, vocalist; Dick Green, lead guitar; Steve Riggs, bass; Paul Hammond, drums; Sandy Grey, rhythm guitar; Carco Novi, tenor sax; and Tony Pallagrosi, trumpet. The Allstars have a rock-rhythm and blues style that blew people away last year at the Spur. They put out a music that makes people get involved. Both bands are of the variety of rockers that like to "get down" on stage and provide a "party hearty" rock and roll.
