BMIPP Visitors c and not se By Danny Powell Qam?cock Staff Writer A veteran visitor of Walt Disney World with 10 trips in five years, I think I know why they call it the Magic Kinedom. Though one part of the park is called Fantasyland, the truth is the entire World is a fantasyland. If you have a dream, the Magic Kingdom has an escape for you. One could wander for hours through the six theme areas: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, r ronuenana, ra ntasy land, Liberty Square and Tomorrowland without ever getting bored. So why don't I give you a tour on paper, a tour of the magical wonderland south of Orlando, which has become THE biggest tourist attraction the world has ever seen? When you arrive at the Disney World ticket gate you are given a big decision on how to get to the f Kntv* a r\ o ?*lr V/Mi ? My advice is take the monorail over first and come back on the ferry when you leave that night, because the latter is a bit slower and gives you a chance to relax before you make the long walk back to your car. When you, arrive at the Disney World Station, the entrance to the theme park and Main Street, U.S.A., the first place you should go is the Walt Disney Story. It is one of the few free exhibits, and it is a brilliant memorial to the man who made Mickey Mouse and Disney World possible. It is a fairly short show and well worth your time. As you walk up Main Street, U.S.A., you will notice two things: people and shops. You could spend an entire day and a large fortune in | ? Every time I enter I discover something new and exciting going on along the boat ride. It is a must for any visitor to the Magic Kingdom. The Jungle Cruise has one thing always prevalent that discourages people: a long line. At Disney World, iong lines are a common thing and should not discourage anyone because they usually disappear very quickly. The Jungle Cruise has one drawback I have never really liked. The cruise directors take trAll Qtirotr ' j v/u avvajr n uin 1.1 vifi^ailUU lUl IIHJ last time" and carry out meaningless dialogue gouged with corny jokes the entire voyage. The scenery, however, is nothing less than fantastic. Other places of interest in Adventureland include the Swiss Family Robinson's Treehouse and the Exotic Tiki Bird show. Both provide good and amusing entertainment but can be considered somewhat trivial compared to the Pirates of the Caribbean and the .Tnncrlp Pniicp Frontier-land has two main events to take in: The Country Bear Jamboree and Tom Sawyer's Island. The Jamboree is perhaps the funniest show offered at the world, with the Three Honey Bears, Liverlips McGraw and the unforgettable Big A1 and his rendition of "Blood On The Saddle." The mformati two exhibits which are really great are It's A Small World (if you can live with the constant tune) and the fantastic Mickey Mouse Revue, which is almost as important as the Walt Disney Story.
