USC students and one guest will be admitted free, but an ID card must be presented at the door. r Washington, a iazzsaxonhonist who performed last year at the Township Auditorium, started playing many instruments when he was eight-years-old ? piano, organ, bass, drums and saxophone. He went on the road with a band when he was 16 and later played as a sideman for other jazz musicians. Cs IW ACTW The Citizens Member FD1 I have recently been told by the humans on The Gamecock staff that this will be my last column for the spring semester. And, considering that I am leaving USC in May, this will be the last of the words of horse sense that you will be subject to. To those among you who have consistently read this column, I offer my sympathy. You must be awfully bored to listen to a talking horse ramble on about nothing. To those of vou who are unable to read, I suggest that you tune in to Sesame Street. That's where I learned how to talk. As I sit here, wiping tears of sadness from my blinders, I must say I will miss writing for you. You have been such a consistent and apathetic group of readers, I have decided to dedicate this last column to you. AND WHAT did I eain from this spmpstw'c wimpful attempt at writing? I lost the respect of all of my fellow horses when I decided to try dancing at a disco, the only public recognition of my column was a semi-prekindergarten haste letter from a Bee Gees fan, and many of my peers resent me, because they say that I am just not a funny horse. So what happens when a fellow tries to run the Carolina Cup and loses ... do they hate him i to appear in C< weeks ago. No, but if you should crack a bad joke, people get all over your case. I think it's time that we stop taking life so seriously that we discourage laughter. I believe that laughter is appropriate in just about any situation . . . especially when watching the Tomorrow Show. Life is losing its zest (and Camay, too)! You should do your best to enjoy what time you have left with your friends before you part paths for the summer or for life. There are several people I'd like to add to my list of acknowledged life-lovers who have brought a bit of laugher to these semi-lonesome eyes. These are people who do their best just to be themselves, and shine forth as radiant humans: Laura Avitabile, Lois Sayrs, Michael Baker, Larry Manter, Kevin O'Regan, Callahan. ZiD. Lou.
