Bowler From page 10 and has no plans to pursue bowling seriously after college. Golf is Bellinger's favorite sport, and he is a scratch golfer, meaning he plays par. "l approach bowling as just a game to enjoy," Bellinger said. "I think one reason I do well in competition is that I'm not under as much pressure as those bowlers who are looking for sponsors to back them on the Pro Bowler's tour. I'm just looking to play well." "I'll quit bowling when it stops being fun," he said. .HIST ONK RnWI.RR in *? ?- * * - ? ... vnv uoiuiy vi me ndiiuiicii!) nas compeieo in the tournament three times. Bellinger, who is a junior and has gone to the nationals twice, will try to make his third visit next spring. Although Bellinger is confident he'll qualify a third time, he said it wdh't be easy. "It's not that you're really the best bowler for the entire year, it's just that you happen to be the best for a given series of games," Bellinger said. "And it all comes down to being mentally ready for a tournament that lasts for nine games. "I plan to work and practice as hard this year as I did last year to reach the nationals. I want to return for that third time." But how sure is Bellinger about his ability to repeat what only one other bowler has done? "When I left, I told the tournament people that I would see them next year," he said. ki~ , n i jnuw nppea.fi no ar > ScoretoardLoanqfe QW JlbbottDr.-Jfad- Vol)3nny^) (rcrcKuhrt -? J ? -JV ? ?
