I think organizations of this kind are a waste of time." So he said that attending these conferences was a wate of time - but he still went to these meetings. Mosely said that SG's budget of $64,000 in 1975-76 was more than the present $48,000 allocation, so there wasn't as much money available for traveling expenses this year as in previous administrations. Wilsford seems to have reversed his stand on the See WILSFORD, page 15 Special prices needed To the Editor: The University of South Carolina is making a serious effort to remove barriers that discriminate against the physically handicapped individual. For example, curb cuts at many corners and ramps where there are steps are an immense help to the students and other citizens who use wheelchairs. At the Coliseum, ramps and elevators make all parts of the building accessible to those in wheelchairs. And, the wheelchair boxes make it physically possible A - -Ai 1 ui unena any sporting event or other attractions. At the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. they have special boxes that can be used for wheelchairs, but when physically handicapped people attend performances there, they are charged only half price for using the special box. In other words, a handicapped individual can get two tickets for the price of one, and take an attendant or even a date. In the same spirit of helpful accommodation in which U.S.C. is attempting to decrease discriminating barriers, I hope the Coliseum will make effort to keep pace. John Van Deusen Editor's note: A copy of this letter was sent to the Coliseum.
