A1 McGui By Billy Cox "Dunleavy and Walton smacked forehead to forehead," gestured Marquette coach A1 McGuire after his Warriors defeated Carolina yesterday afternoon. "It was like two bulls crashing together, ya' know? Lloyd's gotta cut on his head, too." He smiled slightly and added, "But they're gonna be all right. They're two great competitors." Dunleavy sported a bloody gash on his brow, while Walton looked like he'd lost a match with a speeding freight train. That scramble could be pointed to as a conspicuous reflection of McGuire's flair and personnelgritty and explosive. "I think we ought to have it (the NIC) here every year," Carlisle said. Maybe the fact that the ultramodern natatorium is one of the finest facilities in the nation prompted his praise, or maybe it was because his Seminole swim team had just dominated the championship with a score of 375 points, outpointing Miami (298) and South Carolina (289) to take the NIC title. ? 41? ? ii nnaicvci me reason, a capacity crowd witnessed the three-day event that began Thursday, and the start of the meet gave an indication of what was to come.
