Handgun By Greg Breazeale A resolution to prohibit handgun ownership in the United States passed 154 to 148 at USC's first British Union Debate of the spring semester. British Union Debates started in 1BZ3 at uxtord but were not brought to USC until 1974, when Dr. Lynn McCauley of the Department of Theater and Speech started the program here. British Union Debates segregate the audience into pro and con sections but allow people to change sides during the debate. The lecture, open to the public free of charge, will begin at 8 p.m. in the Law Center Auditorium.
