It was disclosed that the Academic Standing Committee ruled to allow those persons who had between a 1.66 and 2.0 GPR in this year's SPAT Program to participate in next year's program. FOSTER EMPHASIZED that the committee did not know which students the ruling would affect. Foster pointed out that the 1.66 cut off level determined by the com mittee was the one apparently adopted by the Board in its decision. When asked about the future of the SPAT program, Foster said it will he reviewed as it has been after each session. He hopes that, "The baby won't be thrown out with the bath water," meaning he would like to see the SPAT program continue. Even if the ABA disallows USC's accreditation, the law faculty will not change their minds with regard to grading the 14 students' papers.
