Short Courses Investing in stocks and bonds, home canning and freezing, in terior decoration and slimnastics are just a few of the more than 20 short courses that will be available at the University of South Carolina this summer. Short courses are open to the general public and do not require formal admission to the University. Most short courses meet one or two evenings a week and vary from as few as one session to as many as 24 meetings depending upon the subject matter. English for Foreigners The University of South Carolina Division of Continuing Education hopes to have a course in basic English to help foreigners learn to speak the English language during the fall semester if enrollment justifies such a course.
