The Golden Spur, USC's night
club, will not be in operation
during the summer months,
according to Bob Todd, director
of the RussellHouse.
Todd said two reasons for the
closing were finances and con
struction at the Russell House.
Previously the number of
students who frequented the
Golden Spur during the summer
was very small. Therefore, the
night club did not make enough

Construction of the addition to
the Russell House has made it
difficult for students to find their
way around.
Part of the Golden Spur will be
used during the summer months
as a meeting room and a movie
theatre. A few concerts are
scheduled for the summer. No
alcoholic beverages will be
served at these functions.
The Golden Spur is scheduled
to resume business in fall, 1975.
