He played football and basketball at USC and participated in the same two sports at Wofford All the College before transferring to the University. The USC Administration Building, built during Osborne's tenure as a trustee, was named the BI Rutledge L. Osborne Ad ministration Building in his honor Bus leavt by the Board in 1973.
