Daet wyler, vice-president of flannee, said Friday. . The 25 per cent increkse represents about a $14.5 million rise fron last year's budget. This figure does not include Regional Campus or Athletic Department fUndfug.. Organized Activities is the only area where a drop in allotment occured. Organized Activities include Outdoor Drama and the University Press. University budgets must be submitted to the Commission on Higher Education (CHE) and the state Budget Control Board (BCB) before they are sent -to the state Legislature for the final word. The budgets are critically reviewed and revised'at each level. Thus, two budgets must be submitted according to two different formulas, Daetwyler explained. The BCB is prepared by build up from each individual item. The CHE budget is prepared according to the state formula which is simply a faculty-to student ratio determination, Women 's Women will be analyzed from various perspectives next semestet with new course offerings ir Women's Studies. The Psychology of Womer (Psy. 542) and Historical Per spectives on Women in America (Hist. 643) are two of the more established courses. Distinctively new courses will be Womer Writers (Eng. 443) and Women ir Society (Univ. 112). "PSychology and History have been popular courses. I hope students will become interested in the other offerings we have,' Phyllis Fleisebel, coordinator ol women's studies said. "Popularity will depend upon awareness."
