REVEI BY GIOEt1E MORRIS Gamecock Staff Writer When Carolina takes on Duke in the Gamecock's home opener , they will be meeting a team trying to turn its gridiron fortunes around. From all indications, the Blue Devils have a good chance to do just that. Despite a dismal 2-8-1 record last season, Head Coach Mike McGee's team was one that balled Ten nessee, Tulane and Georgia Tech down to the wire before suc cumbing in the final minutes to each one. Along with being the home opener for Carolina, the Duke game will renew a long standing rivalry that has been broken off for the past two years. Both coaches look forward to the battle.
