Walsh fronted the James Gang for two years, leading them to four gold albums. Walsh left the James Gang after "the emphasis really came off the music and got on doing bigger and bigger halls for higher and higher prices and it got to the point where the music really wasn't important at all. We never practiced." The James Gang has since faded into obscurity and no doubt in several years you will be able to find "Straight Shooter" and "Passin through" in the 3 for $1.00 rack at your friendly neigh borhood K-Mart. However, Joe Walsh lives on. He split to Colorado, a very trendy place for rock musicians to go to get their heads together, "I knew I didn't want to go with bass, drums and guitar again and I didn't want flash lead guitar with million watt amplifiers because I was tired of that.
