Ski ers Janual BY BETTY WOODRUFF Want to learn to knew ski in four days? The French-Swiss Ski Club says it can be done and the total cost for USC students, including four days of lodging at the Holiday Inn, is $60. Located at Seven Devils Resort and Club on Appalachian Ski Moun tain, the school teaches skiing by the graduated length method whereby students start on very short skies and progress to full length. The special rate of $60, which includes four days of skiing with two hours instruction per day, all equipment, slope fees, accident insurance and membership in the French-Swiss Ski Club, is a special group rate offered to USC students through the department of Physical Education. Dates for the trip are Jan. 9-13. C. J. Johnson of the department of Physical Education and one of the trip's* coordinators, said the dates were chosen to "help combat the boredom many students encounter during the long Christmas SlpEVlEW You can have your own miniature herb garden indoors. Johnson said at the present time, students are responsible for their own transportation to the resort. "But if enough students need or would like to have transportation provided," he said," we will try to arrange something. He said that it may be possible for students to get PE credit for the trip and several schools in North and South Carolina already give credit for the trip. "This is a reput able school which has been doing this type program for several years. They have a large capacity for stu dent groups up there so its entirely possible the USC group will not be the only school there," Johnson said. An orientation meeting will be held Wednesday, Dec. 13, in room 110-111 of the P. E. Center at which a $20 deposit will be colleged. Anyone who has questions before that time should contact Johnson at the P. E center.
