Student body President Davic Spinazzolo would like to see the exchange operated again seconc semester under guidance from the association. But Spinazzolo pointed out wha he thought were more urgen problems that needed work firs such as local traffic patterns parking, student living conditions and abuses by local merchants The lack of personnel is also a problem to be dealt with if anothe: exchange is operated. Last spring a group of four o1 five students from studen governnent banded together anc established a book exchange. If one had a used book to sell, he listed the name of the book under the course title along with his name and phone number. If one was looking for j required book, he looked up the course name and determined whc had the book and where he could be reached. Meanwhile, his manager (John Astin) connives a scheme in which despondent businessmen can escape their tedious jobs by enrolling in a 17-day course in tap dancing magic. Soon Beeman returns to find his seedy hotel has been replaced by a magnificent office building brandishing his name and picture and turning out hundreds of magicians a day. One of the main problems that Oliver pointed out was the late starting time for the project. Since there was little time for publicity, many students sold their books back before they went home for break, thus there were fewer books in circulation. There was also a serious shor tage of upper level books for resale. There was an abundance of lower level books, however, and this is where we really helped the people," states Oliver. Students found the biggest headache to be the seemingly endless number of people one had to call before one found someone with the book.
