This year's club will have quite an act to follow as last years club was 10-2 including being asked to the First National Collegiate Rugby Tournament in which the club won their first round game but went down to defeat in the second round by a very close score, Last years team was considered to be the top team in the southeast. Graduation and the regular university turnover will hurt this year's team to some extent with the loss of some of the excellent players of last season. But Dr. Jim Wynn, the club's president, feels there is an excellent nucleus of players which should be able to fill the gaps left by the departed. There is one major drawback to Rugby at USC. This is the fact that there are only two colleges, USC and Clemson, in South Carolina that have Rugby clubs. So the club on away games has to travel an average of 225 miles one way. An interesting record that will be on the line in the Rugby Club's first home game is that they haven't lost at home in four seasons. an see"The Graduate" ir the first time. .. ......
