DiFiglio was speaking of the Spring Thing Concerts that will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 8 and 9. The groups appearing Saturday at 3 p.m. on the In tramural Field will be Nils Lofgren and Grin, a Crazy Horse-Neil Young derivative, and Shawn Phillips, whom DiFiglio called "a budding superstar." On Sunday, one show, no back-up band, will be The Byrds, Admission $2 and $3 for students. DiFiglio said no replacement had been secured for Frank Zappa who had to cancel because of physical Injury. He said there would be no replacement for Zappa. About the Saturday concert DiFiglio said, "We were planning to have an all day festival, but lack of funds prevented this." He said if it rained on Saturday that Lofgren and Phillips would appear at Township Auditorium. DiFiglio said these would be the last concerts of the year and "For some of us, including myself, this wraps up three years of concert work. I whole heartedly wish to thank those people who have supported us consistantly. I know who you are and we're very grateful for your support."
