The Wildcats, a perennial powerhouse in the Southern Conference, are fresh off of a 95-91 win over Furman. The victory raised Davidson's record to 16-5, and extended their win streak to nine straight games. The loss of Brian Adrian has had to hurt the Wildcats this year. With Adrian forced to sit out the entire season, the brunt of the scoring was shifted to 6-5 sophomore forward John Falconi. However, Falconi who has been plagued with an ankle injury, has not seen action in Davidson's last four games, and is expected to sit out tomorrow's contest. With Falconi's 17.0 scoring average gone, 6-7 junior Joe Sutter rates as the Wildcats' top offensive threat. An All-Conference choice last season when he led the team in both scoring (15.9) and rebounding (7.7), Sutter now maintains a 15.7 mark. Six-seven senior center Eric Minkin is averaging 12.9 points per game, and also leads the team in rebounding with a 9.3 average. John Pecorak, 6-6, holds an 11.2 scoring average and 6-0 guard Mike Sorrentino, a cool sophomore who can provide court leadership, averages 10.1.
