Rec Committee p Campers Camping trips to Table -Rock State Park and Tomoka State Park in Florida have been planned by the Recreation Committee. The Table Rock trip will take place Feb. 25-27. The group, which has 35 openings, will hike to the top of Table Rock Friday and stay there the weekend. Cost is $4, in cluding food. The only item the camper will need to bring is a sleeping bag. We'n Dribble. dril Women's rights liberate By RUTHIE LYON Staff Writer Opening her talk on feminism Monday, Virginia Collins, of the Southern Conference Educational Fund, said, "I want to talk about woman in the whole sense of the word, woman as a human being, as a person." Ms. Collins led the first meeting of "Women in Focus" week. "Women have not been con sidered under the 14th Amend ment," she said. "This amend ment negates the existence of women in this country. Not only does it negate the existence of women in this country, it negates the existence of blacks." Ms. Collins said, "We as women have all strikes against us. There are two kinds of slaves in this country, blacks and white women." "Educate a man and you educate that person, educate a woman and you educate that country," she said. "Rights of women are not full rights in this country. This is a movement of human beings, and women are taking into their hands certain things that must be done," Ms. Collins said. We (the women) should be the ones who are saying this is not our war." Ms. Collins said that "We have a commitment to see that our economy becomes a peace economy and not a war economy." "Our rights as a woman is our liberation as a human being, whereby men are also liberated," she stated.
