A common one seemed to be "getting the students together" and "lack of student interest," according to Aiken representative Al McKay. Meditators to organize on campus Students' International Meditation Society representative Michelle McClure brought the art of Transcendental Meditation to USC students in an introductory lecture Wednesday night at the Episcopal Youth Center. "The meditator learns to turn his mind inward and obtain a deep state of restfulness," Ms. McClure said. "Meditating for 20 minutes in the morning and afternoon relieves stress and brings about creativity and greater use of the mind." Today transcendental meditation is being taught on campuses as a philosophy course and is used to treat psychosomatic illnesses. "Meditators learn to create their own environment and become themselves," she said. "The overall aim is world peace brought about by an individaul approach." Classes in transcendental meditation will begin Feb. 10. ro'S SHOP BELLS ONAL BRANDS - PRESS ometrics, Stock LL COLORS SALE PRICE $699 $5.99 $4.99 1426 MAIN ST.
