Angel led Clemson in both scoring 13.7 and rebounding 16.9. Also returning from last year's team are 6-6 Joe Cooley (1.6), 5-1 Bo Hawkins (3.6), 6-0 Craig Mobley (0.5) and 6-11 John Williams (1.9). Hawkins is the only senior. But the transfers are the big difference in the Tigers and much of Clemson's success could depend upon them. One of the transfers is Anthony Brown a 6-2 guard who averaged 20.5 points per game at Anderson JC last season and was twice named to the All-Western Carolina Junior College Conference team. Mel Francisco a 6-7 forward who averaged 15.4 points and 16 rebounds per game at Brevard JC in Cocoa Fla. is available also and should provide depth for the Tiger front court. Also Danny Miller a 5 11 guard who led Ranger, Tex., in scoring with a 15.6 mark last season and is expected to bolster the squad. Probably the best of Locke's transfers though is 6-7 Mike Browning who is termed a super athlete by Locke and can play either guard or forward. The native of Gahanna, Ohio, is a likely to nab a starting position and should add scoring depth which was sorely needed last season. Also figuring to play a big role in Nylon .
