Name College, University Address. __ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ USC tall "Play Misty for Me" currently is playing at the Miracle Theatre. For a suspense flick, you can't do much better. But you probably know this already. It has become the most talked about movie on campus. Everywhere you go, "Play Misty for Me" comes up in the con versation. For those of you who haven't heard anything about it, or haven't seen it, here's what it's all about. Clint Eastwood shucks his poncho and cigars to star and direct the film. He plays the part of a disc jockey on an easy listening jazz station in Carmel, Calf. He also has-a hobby. He's a stud. He does the late night show where he takes requests and reads poetry. A woman calls him every night and says, "Play Misty for Me." So every night, Clint, plays the Errol Garner classic for her. One night after his show, he goes to his favorite bar, the Sardine Factory. He sees an attractive brunette, but his bartender friend tells him she's waiting for somebody and guys have been striking out all night. Not to let this challenge go by, Clint and the bartender engage in a wonderful goof game which at tracts the girl. Clint picks up on her and takes her home where he practices his hobby. ALL YOU MON. LunPAt the moviesJu is of 'Pla Evelyn (Jessica Walters) seems to be a nice woman, but ec centricies start popping up rather quickly. She blows her stack at the smallest triviality and she starts smothering Clint. Everytime he turns around, there she is; bringing groceries to his house, barging in at inap propriate times and in general, being a pain. After awhile, Clint tells her to get lost, but then comes the topper, she slashes her wrists in his bathroom. Clint calls a doctor, who patches her up and tells Clint she will have to stay there for a couple of days. While all of this goes on, there have been other developments. Clint's real love, a little blonde beauty, has shown up. She went down to Sausolito to try to get her head together after breaking up with him. They decide to make another go of it and Clint has all the more reason to dump Evelyn. Clint also has been trying to get another job with a radio station in San Francisco. He sends them an air check and the woman who owns the station -says she likes it and she wants to talk to Clint about the job. They meet at a restaurant and she's just about ready to hand the job to Clint when in walks Evelyn. Clint throws Evelyn screaming and yelling into a cab and tells the driver, "Take her anywhere, Just get the hell out of here!" It's too late, though, when Clint gets back into the restaurant the woman is gone and his audition tape is lying on the table. Clint goes to see his blonde lady and when he gets back, he finds that his house has been completely wrecked and his cleaning lady has been slashed very severely by Evelyn. The police take Evelyn away and everything looks a lot brighter. And then.. Well, that would be telling. "Play Misty for Me" is not only a great suspense film, but it also has some choice character parts. There's Al, Clint's best friend and fellow jock; Birdie, his sassy cleaning lady; J. J., the limp wristed confidante of his blonde girlfriend; and John Larch (remember him?) as the police sergeant. These are really good character roles and the actors really get into them. For a night of suspense and entertainment in the Hitchcock Psycho tradition, go see "Play Misty for Me." ORATORIO AND GLEE The USC Oratorio Choir and the Carolina Glee Club will perform in concert Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. in Fraser Hall. The Oratorio Choir is conducted by Arpad Darazs and the Carolina Glee Club is conducted by Wesley McCoy.
