Ray, who scored two touch downs, one on an 84 yard jaunt, rushed for 151 yards on 14 carries, leading a ground game that amassed 346 yards. "Old Vince (Dooley, Georgia head coach) has got himself a good team," said USC mentor Paul Dietzel. "I don't know if they are as good as we made them look tonight, though. However, this is the best Georgia team we've played since I've been at South Carolina." If the running game was strong, the Bulldog defense was that much stronger.
