PROMOTIONAL ITEMS
Greater Columbia Chamber of
Commerce Sports Committee
Officials announced today that
only a few USC Gamecock
promotional items are still
available at the chamber's 1308
Laurel St. headquarters.
Approximately 2,000 bumper
stickers, which read "This Is
Gamecock Country," 89 posters,
and 20 postage meter slugs are all
that remains of the large quan
tities which the chamber has been
distributing during the past
several weeks.
Edgar Waters, chairman of the
Sports Committee's Promotional
subcommittee, said that demand
for these items has been ex
ceptional and added that in
terested persons should make an
effort to pick up these items within
the next week.
"We will not reorder any of
these Items," Waters said, "so,
both interested persons and
businesses should should attempt
to pick them up soon, before they
are gone."
Waters said prices for bumper
stickers were $.10, posters $1, for
individuals, and postage meter
slugs - $8.20 - $12.20 depending on
the size of the slug.
