In answer to the question "Should the University of South Carolina allow dormitory visitation during the week, limited to the same hqurs as women's curfew?" 28 students reonded. 23 of these replied "YES" while Qnly 5 said The response from Men's Towers was overwhelmingly favorable. Of 17 replies, 15 said 'Yes", and most of them wanted to take the Issue even further: they advocated open visitation, 24 hours a day. Several other proposed different hours, one wanting 7 a.m. until 1 a.m. on Fridays only, with hours from 2 p.m..until 1 a.m. on Saturdays and 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sundays. Another hoped that extended visitation would prevent girls from walking around the campus at night, while another felt that extended visitation would create, a more homelike atmosphere. Stil another pointed out the fact that prisons have restricted visitation as part of punishment and wondered if students are being punished. Bridge classes are being held on Tuesdays In room 307 of Russell House. Classes are divided Into two sections, beginners at 7 p.m. and advancedat 8 p.m. Dr. William Bryant, Columbia gynecologist, is again teaching the Lovemaking course. "It explores the relationships that exist bet ween man and woman and their responsibilities to each other and to themselves." The class will meet on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. In room 310 of the Physical Science Center. Personal Finance classes are also being held on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. in room 012 of Humanities. This course is designed to aid persons in the "financial responsibilities of the consumer world." E. L. Menees, Business Administration Instructor and Scott Barnes; a local insurance agent, will head the discussions. Issues On Population concerned with such topics as "Population Ecology" and "Planned Paren ral governi nandatory Aside from participation in about 40 more tournaments this year, USC will host on Nov. 6, 7, and 8 the 24th annual Carolina Forensics. Debating teams will represent schools from all over the eastern half of the country. Friday through Saturday of the tournament, eight rounds of debate will be held. Sunday afternoon the eight top teams will compete for the championship. All sessions .will be in the Humanities Building and are opened to the public. After the tournament USC plans to send teams to regional tour naments to decide the national debating champions.In the past 27 years, USC has been represented at the national championships 23 times. The student also said that he had not been given continuance in order to gather witnesses. Lydon told the student "You'll get a new trial." The student was one of 18 who had not been released after they had been brought into city police headquarters the night of their arrest. According to Lydon, there were 21 brought in. Lydon stated that Tuesday night of the disturbances, the boundaries of the curfew areas were not well defined.
